ResourcesInformation is everywhere. Because of that, finding what you are looking for is like finding the needle in the haystack! For this reason, take a peek below to see if we can help you find what you are looking for. As always, feel free to let us know if you'd like to see something added to this page or if you'd like some pointers on handy tools we've come to rely on in our travels. Google - Google is, in our opinion, the best Search Engine out there. Get a weird error message on your computer? Plug it into Google! Check out our article about Google™ AVG Anti-Virus - This reliable anti-virus program offers a free version for home users. AdAware - A Spyware detection, removal and protection program that offers a free option for home users. While we've found it to be fairly good, we like to use it in conjunction with other, similar programs for redundancy. SpyBot S&D - Another spyware detection, removal and protection program that is completely free (donations accepted). Works well, but we prefer using this in conjunction with other programs for redundancy. Whatis.com - What's the difference between a bit and a byte? Look it up at Whatis?com, our favorite place to look up definitions of internet related words and terms. Dictionary.com - You an look up normal dictionary words or use the Thesaurus tool. Reverse Phone Directory - All you have to do is type in a phone number and it'll tell you who it belongs to (except cell phones). Fark - Real news (mostly), real opinions and real fun! Think Geek - Toys, t-shirts and countless supplies for the geek you love. Wikipedia - A free online encyclopedia by the people, for the people. Anyone can read, and edit, entries on the mundane to the highly obscure. The important point to remember is that since Wikipedia can be edited by anyone, it would be unwise to take posted information as cold, hard facts. |
